When I was browsing through the different units and genres I was surprised of the diverse selection of reading options for this
course. I found it interesting how there are often many different versions of the
same fairytale or fable, based on the region of origin and writer. Specifically, I am
excited for the women saints unit. Catholicism's rich history had an immense
impact on all artforms, and the achievement of sainthood represents the often small women representation within the church hierarchy. I am overwhelmed with the plethora of
reading selections, and I do not have any other interests at the moment.

This image particularly stood out to me because it portrays the classic story that we know yet in a much different and more elegant and whimsical light.
